Sea Kayak Shetland is run by Tom Smith, who has over 30 years experience of leading and teaching sea kayaking in Shetland at all levels.

He has been a qualified instructor since 1978, and currently holds the BCU Level 3 (Sea) Coach Award. He was until recently the Scottish Canoe Association's Local Coaching Organizer for Shetland.
